Vincent van Gogh's Church at Auvers, The Painting

Church at Auvers, The
The focus of this painting is pretty straight forward, it's the church. To me the church looks very dark and painted kind of gloomy, the sky is dark blue. The darkness of the painting gives off a gloomy feeling. I think Van Gogh made the church the focus and used darker colors on the church and sky to represent a sort of loss of faith. I also notice more color and brush strokes in the grass.
